Jan Brouckaert Photography

As I have lived for over 15 years in Brussels, the city has given me plenty of opportunities to see and take pictures in all kinds of different conditions.
Brussels is a city with big contrasts: several languages, several communities, different architectural styles and a lot of history. You can either get lost in it, or find a way to understand and appreciate this city.
During the summer of 2015, I exhibited my artwork under a title 'Brussels in Fragments'. In this exposition, I showed different views of the same city that recall a very different feeling or emotion of Brussels.
The collection comprises of images in black and white, rather than in colour, to better illustrate the emotions and diversity of the city I live in.
